Shoppingstar.in ("Shoppingstar", "we", "us") helps shoppers discover local deals, coupons and loyalty rewards, and helps shop owners promote their shops. This Privacy Policy explains what we collect and how we use it.
1. Information we collect
- Account details: your name and mobile phone number when you sign in.
- Location & preferences: the city you choose and product/service categories you prefer, to show relevant nearby deals.
- Activity: coupons you claim, deals you view, and loyalty points earned or redeemed.
- Shop owner data: if you register a shop, we collect your shop name, address, phone, category, description, photos and (optionally) map location.
- Device & usage data: basic technical information needed to operate and secure the service.
2. How we use your information
- To show you localized discounts and personalized coupon suggestions.
- To operate loyalty programs and track points at each shop.
- To connect shoppers with shops when you claim a deal, enquire or book.
- To send you service notifications and, if enabled, one-time passwords (OTP) to verify your number.
- To keep the platform safe and prevent fraud or abuse.
3. Sharing of information
We do not sell your personal data. We share information only:
- With the shop when you claim a coupon, enquire, or join its loyalty program.
- With trusted service providers who help us operate (for example, SMS/OTP delivery partners such as MSG91), strictly to provide the service.
- When required by law or to protect the rights and safety of users.
4. Data retention & deletion
We keep your data for as long as your account is active. You can request access to, correction of, or deletion of your data at any time by emailing support@waapas.in. We will delete your personal data within a reasonable period, except where we must retain it for legal or fraud-prevention reasons.

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, but we work to safeguard your data.

The service is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their data.
